The Long Stripe under the Palms

A chrome exhaust stack rises through the left of the frame, its cut mouth turned to the light and its plating dented and scuffed. Behind it the orange hood runs level toward the grille, carrying a white script that reads Lamborghini and a thin white stripe that crosses a pale blue oval holding a black 1R before running out along the curve of the nose. Below the sheet metal the engine sits in shadow in blue castings, brass fittings and dark hoses, while four palm trunks stand behind the machine against a cloudless sky, softened just short of the hood's hard gloss.
