The Casting

Raised letters spell LAMBORGHINI across the flank of the gearbox housing, picked out in rust red against a blue the sun pushes almost to white along the upper curve. Below them a cast part number, a small round maker's mark and two triangular foundry stamps are left to read blue on blue, and the bolt heads, the ribbed pedal and the gear levers standing in their black rubber boots have all gone under the same coat; only a rust-red plug on the top face answers the lettering.
